General information
Croton is described as a Rasayna in Ayurveda and essential oils extracted from this Herb is used in aromatherapy. It is a strong laxative and evacuates the bowels in an hour after and should be taken under medical guidance. It is also beneficial in skin ailments and inflammatory conditions when applied externally. Its cooling properties help to pacify Pitta dosha and its effects.
Contraindications
Avoid use in pregnancy and lactation. It can cause serious side effects, if not taken in appropriate doses. However, we recommend to consume this herb under proper medical guidance. Avoid administration of this herb in children.
