Habitat: Liquorice is native to Balauchistan, Sub Himalayan tracts.

General information

Liquorice roots are used as a medicine. It maintains stomach acid levels and thus helps in healing stomach ulcers. It has anti inflammatory and laxative properties which help in keeping the digestive system healthy. Because it contains adrenal cortical hormones, it is useful for adrenal insufficiency.
