Cubeb is native to Africa and was first introduced In Europe as a pepper with tail. Portugal King forbade import of tailed pepper fearing it would spoil the sail of Long Pepper. It is antiseptic, carminative, expectorant, laxative, purgative and aromatic in nature. It is also used as a spice in various Culinary purposes. Cubeb oil is helpful in treating urinary tract disorders. It is chewed in bad mouth odor conditions and other dental conditions. Oil is also helpful in treating common cold and cough.
